Hands down the best Bánh mì I have ever had. I know what you're thinking...this guy isn't Vietnamese...what does he know about Bánh mì? Well, I have a lot friends who are Vietnamese and, because of that, I've been to many Bánh mì places in Westminister/Rosemead.
This place just gets it right. So much so that I came here every day for three weeks straight. First of all, the baguette itself is amazing. Unlike other places, where the baguette reminds you of the Subway bread,
Bánh Mì San Marco's baguette nails the perfect ratio of crispy to soft.
Secondly, I've noticed that other places tone down the flavor profile of their pickled carrots and daikon radishes for some reason. However, this place doesn't have that problem. It's not overwhelming at all and strong till the point that it's very tasty.
And lastly, no matter what choice of meat/protein you get, you can expect the Bánh mì to have a good portion of it and it to taste good. For reference, I ordered the chicken Bánh mì, egg Bánh mì, and Pork Bánh mì, all of which were amazing. I didn't try anything else, but I am sure whatever you order would be good too. Also, the Bánh mì is cheap for the value you are getting. The only complaint I have is that they do not have more locations as I was only in the area for the summer :(. Please consider opening a location on Convoy St, San Diego!! -

Take caution eating here. Lack of attention to detail on their behalf while cooking may cause other foreign objects being cooked in your food. -

You know when you're hungry and really want something good, but not sure what? I was surfing Yelp trying to find the different but good lunch. FOUND IT! Phoned in my order for a #6 BBQ Pork Bahn Mi with Boba Thai Tea. Food was ready when I arrived, lots of people in the small restaurant were waiting for their orders.
The woman who helped me was very courteous and friendly. The bahn mi was deliciously filled with tender BBQ pork (without the red dye), picked diamond and carrots. Baguette was fresh and crunchy. Truly hit the spot. My Thai tea was the perfect accompaniment with its toothsome boba. The tea was full of flavor and not severely diluted like a lot of places.
Pricing was great especially for the area. Will definitely go back again!!
